First Biking Day Loire Valley by Jacob Adolphe

Today was our first biking day in the Loire Valley. We took took a bullet train to the meeting point. Below is a picture of us looking like refugees at the train station.

Then we all took a bus to a vineyard. We got to walk through the wine cellar and then we sampled some wines. I especially liked the first one.

After the picnic lunch (complete with flies) and the bike demo we set off. In the beginning we were all bunched up then we started spreading out. Then someone crashed, I'm not going say who but he fell into a field of grapes and hit a ton of wire. After that Quentin crashed right in front of me and fell into a ditch.

The only thing Quentin was worried about when mom pulled him out was ticks.

We took a water break it was 94 degrees in the blazing sun, we went over two steep hills, we got kind of lost towards the end, but we arrived at the Chateau - 16 Miles later all in one piece more or less. We got into our room and then we jumped straight into the pool.
